NUPIPE-II is a powerful proprietary computer program used extensively forthe design and analysis of nuclear and fossil power plant and petroleumrefinery piping systems. Developed by Quadrex Corporation, it ismaintained at the highest level of sophistication. It is available on aroyalty basis to customers worldwide.NUPIPE-II performs linear elastic analysis of three-dimensional pipingsystems for static, thermal, seismic, and other dynamic loadingconditions. It performs stress analysis in accordance with therequirements of the following codes:- Section III of ASME Code for Nuclear Class 1, 2, or 3 Piping.
- ANSI B31.1-1967 and B31.1-1973 Power Piping.
- ANSI B31.3-1976 Petroleum Refinery Piping.
NUPIPE-II is presently used by nuclear utilities and DOD/DOE researchorganizations for analyzing complex piping systems subjected to thermal,seismic, and pressure loads. Educational institutions can use it intraining their mechanical, civil, and computer engineering students.
